Nike Dunk High

The Dunk Hi had an awkward start to life when it was released in ‘86, it was really well received, and it became the defacto shoe of several of the United States’ best university basketball teams such as Kentucky and Syracuse but there was one problem. The original Air Jordan released in ’85 and in ’86 Michael Jordan became the superman of basketball, forcing every other hoop shoe out into the cold. It wouldn’t be until the 00’s when the Dunk Hi would get the proper love it deserved becoming a shoe that defined the very sneaker culture we have today.
