Dr. Martens Vintage 1460
Debuting on the first of April 1960, the 1460 silhouette from Dr. Martens initially existed as an affordable work boot worn by postmen until something switched. Soon mods and other youth counter-culture movements adopted the shoe as a symbol of working-class pride. Then Pete Townshend, frontman of the iconic rock band The Who would wear them on stage completely changing the trajectory of the silhouette forever. Today the 1460 remains a staple of footwear excellence that is still handmade to the exact specifications of the original, albeit with a few quality-of-life updates.
