New Balance 860 Running Shoes
The New Balance 860 models are widely used for performance, particularly running. They are highly popular among runners due to their stability, excellent cushioning, comfortable lining, and reflective details (ideal for nighttime runs). Thanks to their comfortable fit and stability, they provide ample support, even though the shoe appears slimmer than other New Balance running shoes. The New Balance 860 meets all the necessary criteria for a solid run:
- The New Balance 860 is designed with stability as its key feature. It has a built-in support system that helps prevent overpronation (the inward rolling of the foot) while running. The updated upper provides additional support, ensuring that even the most inexperienced runners enjoy a stable and balanced running experience.
- The 860 offers excellent cushioning to reduce impact on the feet and joints while running. New Balance utilizes technologies such as dual density, Fresh Foam, or ABZORB. The latter is a specially developed cushioning material that absorbs shocks and minimizes impact.
- A major advantage of the 860 is its mesh upper, which enhances breathability. This promotes airflow and keeps the feet cool and dry.
- As a New Balance running shoe, the 860 is designed to withstand prolonged use and wear. It features a sturdy rubber outsole that provides great traction and grip on various surfaces. Its durable construction ensures longevity, making it suitable for regular use and intense training sessions.
- Although the New Balance 860 is a stable running shoe, it is not excessively heavy. The weight varies depending on the specific version, but in general, it is light enough to provide a smooth and responsive running experience without causing extra fatigue.

New Balance 860 Colors
The New Balance 860 is available in various color combinations. Vibrant colors are mostly found in the shoe's accents, making them easy to style. The most popular color accents include blue, silver, white, and gray.
What Is the New Balance 860 Fresh Foam?
The New Balance 860 Fresh Foam is a specific version of the 860 line that utilizes New Balance’s Fresh Foam cushioning technology. Fresh Foam is an innovative cushioning system developed by New Balance. It consists of a single layer of foam with a unique construction that provides responsive cushioning and a soft landing. This gives a softer feel to your feet compared to a rubber sole. The Fresh Foam material is lightweight and offers a comfortable feel while running, while also absorbing shocks and returning energy.
