Originally a basketball sneaker, the Chuck became the go-to footwear option for athletes from college to professional level up until the 1980s, when the Chuck began its transition to a lifestyle shoe.
Moving from the hardwood to the street, the silhouette captured the imaginations of the world thanks to its sleek shape and incredibly versatile color palette. In its original form, the Chuck was famous for its cotton canvas form but throughout its near century-long legacy it has seen hundreds of variations and adaptations, from Virgil Abloh’s translucent take to JW Anderson’s glitter-encrusted upper.
