The Italian Job: A Sunbaked Trip to Italy with PUMA
When life is all work and no play, it makes you kind of dull, but PUMA’s cracked the case by mixing work with a whole ton of play. Just last week, our co-founder Stine and fabulous buyer Marie took a jaunt across the Mediterranean to link up with the German outfit in Puglia.
Nestled within the proverbial boot of Italy, their first port of call at the seaside town of Bari was marked by a tour of the local olive groves and a chance at a private olive oil tasting alongside local wine and food. Along the sunbaked baroque streets of Strada Arco Basso, local Italian women prepare fresh orecchiette pasta, a local delicacy whose preparation has been handed down from generation to generation. A staple of life in Bari, our intrepid duo followed in the footsteps of the local Italian Nonna’s and had a crack at making their very own orecchiette too!
The next day was the indisputable highlight of the trip as PUMA took their visitors on a tour of their local factory where visitors could see PUMA’s ultra-premium handmade GV Special product come to life. Named after Guillermo Vilas, an Argentinian tennis legend, this low-top wonder oozes retro chic across a premium leather upper accented by a quilted Formstrip and a truly classic gum rubber outsole. If that wasn’t enough Stine and Marie even got to design their own pair which you may or may not get a chance to see soon.
Thank you
to our good friends at PUMA for the experience and we can't wait to see what comes next!
