Salomon: The Bad Weather Busters
When the winds start to turn, and the temperatures start to drop – Who you gonna call? Salomon! Ghostbusters pun aside, when you want the best, you go to the best. In Japan they have a saying, “Mochi wa mochiya”, which roughly translates to if you want mochi go to a mochi maker. With that in mind, if you want some hard wearing gear that can take on any terrain, you go to the people who started their apparel business on the side of a mountain. It’s just science. Very loose, subjective, metaphorical science.
The point stands though, Salomon has made the Alpine town of Annecy its home since its foundation in 1949. From this comes a generational love and understanding of the great outdoors in tandem with a preternatural grasp of future-forward design. For their latest autumn-winter collection, Salomon is once again upping the ante with an expansive collection that includes the ultra-rugged Quest GTX Advanced and sleek Snowcross.
Designed to take a battering the Quest GTX offers up full GORE-TEX™ coverage so no matter what the brutal Nordic weather throws at you, you’re still smiling. On the low top front we’re getting a new look at the XT-6 as the beloved silhouette returns in, yes that’s right, full GORE-TEX™, you can look this good and stay dry – incredible. Rounding out the collection, Salomon has teed up fresh looks at the ACS Pro Advanced and XT-4 too.
