Kerne.milk: Good for your Soul, Good for your Body
With a fan club that includes Kim K, Veneda Carter, and Jorja Smith, it’s fair to say that Copenhagen’s very own Kerne.milk is a brand well on the rise. But how has a brand that’s only four years old found such an adoring, global audience already – let’s dive in.
Founded in Copenhagen in 2019 by former dancer Marie Mark, Kerne.milk was established with a singular ethos – to make women feel comfortable in their bodies. Elegant in its simplicity, Kerne.milk’s self-loving identity is beautifully summed up by its slogan “Kernemilk is not something you drink, it’s something you wear. But when you wear it, your body drinks it”. This self-love-heavy identity shines through in every collection, with Kerne.milk’s selection of fabrics greatly influenced by the flowing energy of dance and the lines of the human body.
For AW23, their ‘Traditio’ collection is dedicated to breaking with tradition while creating new rules and legacies of their own. Primary amongst them is Kerne.milk’s dedication to producing their clothing more sustainably by using off-cuts and deadstock materials from previous seasons as foundational pillars of new collections. The ‘Traditio’ collection draws heavily from nature incorporating earthy browns, marble-aqua blues, and regal purple, in tandem with unique sewing techniques like over-locking and baby locks to mimic liquid shapes that fit the body.
We’re so excited to welcome Kerne.milk to NAKED Copenhagen with their AW23 ‘Traditio’ collection and with it a whole host of new looks like their Luna wrap blouse and Wonder pants.
